Using Feng Shui Energy to Increase your Finances

Feng shui is the Oriental art of manipulating energy to enhance your life, this month we look at how you can boost your finances through our feng shui tips. Firstly, identify the area in your home which is linked to your finances, this is on the left hand side of the house as you stand with the front door behind you. This rule can be applied to any room individually too. Always keep these areas clear and clutter free.

JADE (or money plant)

It is a good idea to place a Jade (or money plant) in your wealth area as it is an excellent feng shui cure. The Chinese rate Jade as the most precious stone and the best quality Jade is soft, smooth and glossy just like the leaves of the money plant. It is important to look after your plant, as it will link with your energy and if the plant comes to grief then your finances may also come to grief. To increase the power of the money plant, put a piece of red cloth under a circular mirror and place the plant on top. To add power to this feng shui financial remedy, bury nine coins (of any currency) within the soil of the pot. Ensure that the plant has sufficient natural light and that it is kept moist, but not over-watered.

In addition, to generate prosperity keep three gold-coloured I Ching coins in your purse or wallet. Three such coins hung on red ribbon over a shop door or placed on the left side of a till will increase business and generate more profit.

Finally, a basket of fruit or a vase of fresh flowers symbolise riches. Keep fresh fruit and flowers in your kitchen and this will not only improve your finances, but will have a positive effect on your health and well-being.
